Adidas Liberty Cup Shoes – White / Gum4 / Gold Metallic

Adidas Liberty Cup Shoes

A new model from adidas, the Liberty Cup Shoes draw inspiration from late ‘90s tennis court shoes and incorporate modern performance-driven features for a fresh take on skate footwear. A combination of breathable mesh and durable suede has been selected for a premium finish across the low-cut silhouette, constructed through one panel that continues around the back of the heel and widens on the inside of the foot. A curved layer with a reflective rubber edge has been added along the outside of the foot, positioned above an overlaid ollie area on the midsole and gold metallic adidas text with a trefoil logo has been overlaid on the mesh above. For ventilation, perforation has been added around the top of the toe box and along the front of the padded tongue, whilst colour matched cotton laces offer a secure fit and loop through a TPU lacebar. Throughout the inside and along the underside of the tongue a dense mesh lining has been added for further breathability and a removable, moulded Adiprene footbed protects against high impacts.

The heel has been extended and reinforced for support with a nylon loop for ease of entrance, whilst the thick but lightweight white midsole has a subtly textured surface and sits above a sticky rubber gum outsole with an upgraded tread pattern surrounding a circular pivot point. Introduced at the end of the summer ‘19, the adidas Liberty Cup shoes blend authenticity with function and draw inspiration from an era where the boundaries of traditional tennis aesthetics were redefined. Crafted with bold lines and exaggerated proportions, the model has a confident look with skate-ready features built in.
